Characteristics and norms:
Whole rhizomes and cylindrical roots of various lengths, thickness: roots 7-150 mm. The roots and rhizomes are covered with a thin layer of cork on the outside. In the rhizomes, the core is noticeable, in the roots it is not. On the cross section, numerous medullary rays are observed, which diverge from the center and penetrate the yellowish wood and strongly developed bark. Radial cracks often form along the medullary rays in the roots.
