Microcalcite fraction 315 microns
Microcalcite fraction 315 microns
Dry building mixes, filler for tile production.
In the production of electrodes as a component of the coating of electrodes for electric welding and coatings of molds. In the production of plasters and decorative pastes.
MICROCALCITE — this finely dispersed product is obtained by mechanical grinding of marble. It is obvious that in this way it is possible to produce fillers that differ greatly in their granulometric composition, with particle sizes ranging from fractions of a micrometer to several millimeters.
According to the terminology accepted by specialists, dispersed mining materials with a fraction size of less than 300 microns are considered "micro-crushed". Coarser-ground products are referred to as "ground". Based on this division, the term "microcalcite" refers to marble powders, powders and other loose fractions with a grain size of no more than 300 microns.
Due to its physicochemical properties and structural features, microcalcite has a number of qualities that distinguish it from chalk and other varieties of calcium carbonate, these are:
increased calcite content (more than 98.4%);
increased grain strength;
low porosity and water absorption;
high refraction;
low content of coloring oxides of iron, manganese, titanium, cobalt and, as a result, a high whiteness index;
low content of water-soluble salts;
high solubility in mineral acids;
high resistance to UV radiation.
The main areas of application of microcalcite in industry are all areas of traditional application of carbonate fillers, this is the production of:
all types of coatings;
plastics;
dry building mixes;
rubber products;
floor coverings and linoleum;
papers;
drilling fluids;
ceramic tiles;
insulation materials;
cleaning powders and pastes;
agglomerates and artificial stone;
roofing materials, etc.
