Crushed stone
Crushed stone is a building material that is obtained as a result of crushing rocks with subsequent sorting of the product into fractions.
The main properties of crushed stone
Leshchadnost
This characteristic is one of the most important. The content of lamellar and needle-shaped grains in crushed stone is called breaminess. These are grains whose thickness or width is more than three times less than the length. Their presence in crushed stone increases the intergranular voidness in the mixture, which increases the consumption of the binder component and affects the integrity of the structure. Therefore, the less the greediness of crushed stone, the higher its quality.
Frost resistanceThis indicator determines the number of cycles of freezing and thawing (saturation in a solution of sodium sulfate and drying). Crushed stone is divided into the following brands according to frost resistance: F15, F25, F50, F100, F150, F200, F300, F400. Crushed stone with a frost resistance mark of 200-400 cycles is used for construction.
Factional application of granite rubble
A fraction is the maximum allowable size of a stone. The scope of its application depends on the fraction of crushed stone.
