Foamed polyethylene
Foamed rubber consists of foamed synthetic rubber with a self-adhesive layer applied to one side (a water-dispersed acrylic emulsion based on silicone with a high degree of adhesion). The foam synthetic rubber material is used to insulate rigid air ducts, large diameter pipes, containers in places where additional mechanical protection, weather protection and enhanced thermal insulation are needed.
General characteristics
Main technical characteristics:
Operating temperature - -40 to +90 °C
Thermal conductivity coefficient - 0.035 W/m°C
Vapor permeability coefficient - 0.001 mg/m*h*Pa
The sound absorption coefficient for frequencies from 125 to 2000 Hz for the thickness of the material sample (5-10) mm is 0.04-0.14 Hz
Reflective effect of radiating energy - 90%
Tensile strength - 0.2 MPa
Flammability group according to GOST 30247-94 - G3 (it is possible to manufacture a material with a reduced degree of flammability on an individual order)
ОтносRelative density – 23-25 kg/m3
Environmental safety – non-toxic.
Service life - up to 50 years
Features
Foam rubber is resistant to aggressive environments and provides tightness against condensation. The pipeline is reliably protected and will last up to 10 times longer; The temperature in the pipe remains unchanged. Microporous rubber practically does not conduct heat, its index is 0.036 W/(m* K).
Composition
Foamed rubber is made from natural and mostly combined rubber, EVA, styrene. Requirements for rubber: 1) The rubber should be sufficiently plastic, the rubber mixture should be evenly crumbly.
