Shoe boxes

Shoe manufacturers pay special attention to packaging for their products. When choosing, buyers evaluate not only the quality of the product, but also the appearance of the box. Neat, attractive, original packaging contributes to the promotion of products on the market.

Well-known companies use their logo on shoe boxes to increase brand awareness, increase customer loyalty and increase sales. Unusual design, convenient packaging and other advantages - all this helps to achieve these goals.

Types of shoe boxes

According to the material of manufacture, shoe packaging is divided into two types: plastic and cardboard. Let's take a closer look at the last option, since it is the most popular. Briefly about the advantages of plastic boxes:

Great for storing shoes
the transparency of the packaging makes it easy to determine the contents;
has a low cost;
have special openings for air circulation;
easy to care for (just wash and dry).
Two types of cardboard shoe boxes are made: transport and consumer. The first one is large and is designed for storing goods in a warehouse and subsequent transportation. They are disposable and reusable. Consumer containers are made for each pair of shoes.

Design classification

Today, manufacturers produce shoes in four types of containers: “box”, “lid-bottom”, with side opening and a retractable version. The latter types greatly facilitate the task of sellers, since they do not require special placement for convenient content retrieval. The first two structures are the most common and should be considered in more detail.

The “casket” is great for packing and storing shoes with high tops (for example, boots). Main advantages:

easy to close / open, you can quickly get different pairs to demonstrate to the buyer;
even with a large assortment, it significantly facilitates the task of searching by size and model;
provides reliable protection of shoes from damage due to resistance to deformation due to the rigidity of the structure and good strength of the side walls;
the lid and body are one piece, so the first one cannot be lost (unlike the option when they are divided into separate elements).
"Lid-bottom" - the optimal type of container design for sneakers, shoes, sandals, boots and other shoes without high tops. In this case, the inconvenience associated with dividing the container into two parts is easily eliminated with the proper organization of the showcase: the lid is placed under the base, which saves space and allows you not to lose the upper part.

Requirements for a corrugated cardboard shoe box

Since the container is one of the means of advertising a product, it has high requirements for quality, design and other characteristics. In particular, shoe containers must:

reflect the style of the brand;
easy to open / close;
keep its shape (do not deform during transportation and use);
ensure the protection of products from mechanical damage, pollution, exposure to humidity and other external factors;
contribute to simplifying tasks: sorting shoes by season, by purpose (men's, women's, universal models), sizes, brand, and so on.
Ease of use is another important criterion. Sellers should not face difficulties in product presentation, systematization and search for models.

Cardboard packaging with logo

Today, it is rare to find individual packaging for shoes without the manufacturer's symbols (especially the logo). Printing an image is carried out in several stages:

Printing a picture on a cardboard sheet.
Lacquer application (if necessary).
Cutting down.
Creasing (drawing grooves for further folding the sheet along the lines obtained).
Box assembly.
Self-assembly shoe boxes have gained wide popularity due to the absence of glue points, which significantly reduces production costs. But the “lid-bottom” design is also not inferior to its positions, as it has proven its practicality and convenience. In appearance, it is more presentable than the previous version.

Production

High-quality material with high characteristics is the main condition for the production of good packaging. As a rule, shoe packaging is made of various types of cardboard: interlaced, corrugated (corrugated and micro-corrugated), chrome-ersatz. To obtain a smooth surface, careful processing of the material and the use of high-quality raw materials for production are required. Therefore, corrugated cardboard and microcorrugated cardboard with cellulose layers are often used.

As a result, a cardboard sheet is produced, on which any design can be applied using white paper using printing sections, sometimes other monophonic or multi-color solutions are used.

For the production of high-strength packaging, laminated cardboard or another type of this material is used, but additionally reinforced by lamination or varnishing. Many containers have a punch hole for easy removal of shoes.
